TLG Peterbilt Louisville Receives First PACCAR PDC Shipment

From the first shovels in the ground to the first shipment out the door, TLG Peterbilt - Louisville has supported PACCAR Parts and the opening of their new parts distribution center (PDC) in Louisville, Kentucky.

In May 2021, PACCAR Parts celebrated the groundbreaking for its 19th PDC. At 260,000 sq. ft., the new state-of-the-art facility is PACCAR's largest. The PDC also has a large training center available for dealers to host meetings for employees or customers. PACCAR Parts Assistant General Manager–Operations Jim Walenczak said, “The Louisville PDC will use the latest technologies to reduce the time between order placement and delivery, allowing us to maximize uptime for customers.”

This new PDC will increase parts availability to Midwest locations, serving the following eight TLG Peterbilt dealership locations: Louisville, Evansville, Cincinnati, Dayton, Erlanger, Sauget, O’Fallon, and Sikeston.

At a recent luncheon, TLG provided a truck for PDC employees to explore, giving them the opportunity to see the completed vehicle for all the parts they pull on a daily basis. Following the luncheon, PACCAR PDC Facility Manager Eugenio Bafaro reached out to TLG and offered to fulfill some backordered parts they had in stock. PDC employees pulled these specific line items and when TLG picked up their truck that evening, this became the first-ever shipment.

TLG will continue working with the PDC on parts shipments as they train their employees before becoming fully operational in the next 60 days.
