We're proud to be celebrating our 35th Anniversary! What began in 1987 as a single Peterbilt dealership in Springfield, MO, has grown into an award-winning organization with 23 location in eight states, industry-leading products and services, and more than 1,200 employees who provide nothing but the best for our customers. We look forward to the next 35 years of dedication, innovation and building customer relationships that last a lifetime.

1987

The Larsons Take Over Peterbilt of Springfield

In September, Glenn and his father Claire head to Missouri to manage a Peterbilt dealership in Springfield. 

1987

It's Official

In December, the Larsons sign the final contracts with Peterbilt Motors Company and become an official dealer. 

1989

Expansion Begins

The second TLG dealership opens in Joplin, Missouri. 

1991

TLG's 1st Acquisition

TLG acquires O'Fallon, Missouri dealership. 

1995

TLG Leasing Begins

PacLease partnership establishes the TLG Leasing division. 

1996

1st Official Award

The first prestigious award is 1995 Peterbilt Dealer of the Year for Mid-America's success. 

1998

Sikeston Dealership Opens

TLG's growth in Missouri continues with the opening of Sikeston, Missouri dealership.

1999

Growth Continues into Arkansas

TLG opens its first Arkansas dealership, TLG Peterbilt - Fort Smith. 

2022

Illinois Joins the Group

Located in Sauget, Illinois, customers know it as TLG Peterbilt - St. Louis. 

2005

Now Serving Louisville

TLG acquires Louisville dealership located in Jeffersonville, Indiana.

2007

20th Anniversary

TLG celebrates 20 years in business. 

2010

Expanding in Indiana

TLG opens Evansville, Indiana dealership.

2010

On to Ohio

TLG's eastward expansion continues with the acquisition of TLG Peterbilt - Cincinnati - its first Ohio location. 

2010

Kentucky Dealership Acquired

Expansion continues in 2010, with the acquisition TLG Peterbilt - N Kentucky in Erlanger. 

2011

TCS Opens

Truck Component Services, a 25-acre salvage yard that specializes in quality used parts and refuse vehicles is added to the TLG network.

2012

Second Arkansas Dealership

TLG adds its second Arkansas dealership in Lowell, known as TLG Peterbilt - NW Arkansas.

2014

Indiana Acquisition

TLG acquires Great Lakes Peterbilt in Portage, Indiana. 

2015

First Southeast Dealership

TLG's first dealership in the Southeast is the acquisition of Charlotte, North Carolina dealership. 

2016

Expansion in North and South Carolina

With acquisition of SE Atlantic dealer group, Florence and Harleyville, South Carolina, and Raleigh, North Carolina locations are added.  

2017

30 Years of Success

TLG celebrates another milestone with 30th anniversary.

2019

Introducing Mobile Service

TLG Peterbilt answers industry needs with the introduction of its mobile service program, Road Guru. 

2019

Third South Carolina Location

TLG offers convenience to customers with opening of aftermarket parts store, TRP Charleston. 

2019

Second TRP Location

TRP Strafford opens in December of 2019 and is conveniently located inside Truck Component Services.

Great Lakes Expands Service Department

A ribbon-cutting ceremony is held to celebrate facility upgrades and service department expansion to better serve customers.

TLG Unveils New Logo & Unified Dealership Names

TLG kicked off 2020 with a refreshed logo and unified naming update for dealerships to TLG Peterbilt.

2020

Sixth Dealer of the Year Award

TLG earns sixth Peterbilt North American Dealer of the Year award for its work in 2019.

2020

Third North Carolina Location

TLG Peterbilt - Dunn became TLG's 22nd location and has the honor of being Peterbilt Motors Company's 400th location. 

2020

Cincinnati Completes Facility Expansion

The final phase of construction at Cincinnati is completed in June and included a 28,000 square foot expansion of modern office space, parts showroom and warehouse, and improved service department.

TLG Leasing Expands to Indiana and North Carolina

With the expansion, TLG Leasing & Rental is now located at eight TLG Peterbilt facilities in six states.

Mobile Service Expands

The demand for TLG's mobile service program brings expansion to all full-service dealerships and two locations that were previously parts only.

Greensboro, N.C. Location Acquired

With this acquisition in December, TLG Peterbilt - Greensboro becomes TLG's fourth North Carolina location and 23rd overall. 

2021

TLG Earns Multiple Honors

TLG earns Red Oval and Medium Duty Dealer of the Year awards for its performance in 2020. 

2021

Introducing TLG Financial

TLG's in-house financing division, Capital Lending, rebrands to TLG Financial to unify with TLG's 2020 brand updates.

2022

Leasing Earns Prestigious Award

TLG Peterbilt PacLease Named 2021 North American Franchise of the Year.

2022

TLG Partners with Army for Veteran Hiring

The Army PaYS program allows TLG to begin granting guaranteed interviews for transitioning Active Duty, National Guard and Reserve Soldiers.
